Empty sitemap if a taxonomy is removed · Issue #14981

I am trying to register my sitemap with Google Search Console, but i'm unable to view the sitemap. For some reason it's saying it's empty and invalid.

By deleting a taxonomy from the routes.yml file, the deleted taxonomies pages are not generated, but their respective sitemap are. They are empty.
